Hailing from Alexandria, VA, Zoe Renelda McCray is a soprano residing in the DC area.  Zoe is a proud member of the Washington National Opera Chorus. Equally as comfortable singing operatic repertoire as art song and spirituals, Zoe Renelda is the current First Place National Winner of the NATS American Negro Spirituals competition. She is a Musical Theatre Professor in the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts at Howard University in Washington, DC. Zoe Renelda is a Teaching Artist-in-Residence with the Washington Performing Arts Society via their Capital Arts DC Partnership. She is the newest soprano at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, where she sings weekly with the Cathedral Choir and the Contemporary Ensemble. Live streams of every service can be found on the Washington National Cathedral website. Zoe is a voice teacher at Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA.

She received her Bachelor of Music from James Madison University, studying with Grammy Award-winning Baritone Kevin McMillan.  Zoe is currently a member of the Elizabeth Daniels voice studio in Silver Spring, MD.
